The Challenge

An audience used to free, now asked to pay £15k.

Capital Enterprise had spent years building a founder audience on free content and community. The next step was a premium programme at £15,000 a place, and that is a hard turn to make. An audience trained to expect everything for free rarely reaches for its wallet, and a heavy sell would spend the goodwill Capital Enterprise had built. They needed those founders to choose to pay, without feeling sold to.

The Solution

We sold it like a founder talking to founders.

We led with a personal email from Capital Enterprise's founder: plain text, no design, sharing the story of the business and why the programme was worth paying for. The call to action was to reply, not to click, so it read as a conversation and every reply landed as a warm lead. A second, more direct email followed for the people who opened. Underneath it, targeted paid on Meta and LinkedIn brought new founders in, a simple form captured them, and real participant stories carried the social proof. Price stayed out of the emails on purpose, so the people who raised their hand were the ones serious enough to ask.

The Outcome

Founders who came forward, warmed not pushed.

In 30 days the founder-led approach turned a free audience into paying interest: 28 founder calls booked off the back of a founder's story, and £15,000 places moving through the pipeline. The founders who raised their hand were self-selected and serious, which is exactly what a premium programme needs at the top of its funnel.
